Volkswagen Australia has confirmed that it will be expanding its line-up of sporty R-Line models, with both the Tiguan SUV and Golf Wagon to get the R-Line treatment for the 2015 model year.
The R-Line trim-packages give each model a sportier stance through lowered suspension and larger alloy wheels, while bumpers, grilles, sideskirts and spoilers are also unique to R-Line models.
When the trim package is added to the Tiguan and Golf Wagon's respective options list, the total number of R-Line models will rise to five. Currently, the Beetle, Golf hatch and Touareg large SUV are available in R-Line form.
The R-Line package costs $2000 for Beetle buyers, and $2200 when adding it to a Golf Highline variant. Expect a similar surcharge for the Golf Wagon R-Line and Tiguan R-Line.
