Renault Koleos Initiale revealed
French brand launches special edition of its mid-size SUV.
Renault has given its family SUV a freshen-up.
The French carmaker has added a new Koleos Initiale special edition in an attempt to help keep the brand front of mind in an ever-increasingly competitive segment.
Priced at $49,490 driveaway, the Initiale edition sits atop the petrol-powered Koleos range, usurping the $43,490 before on-road costs Intens.
The extra spend gets you a unique black amethyst paint colour, 19-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, auto tailgate and a chrome grille.
Inside, the Initiale scores a panoramic sunroof, heated and ventilated front seats, auto headlights, auto wipers, ambient lighting, an anti-dazzle rear-view mirror and a slightly larger 8.7-inch portrait-shaped touchscreen that is equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Safety gear includes autonomous emergency braking, blind spot warning, lane departure warning and a reversing camera with front and rear parking sensors.
Power comes from a 2.5-litre four-cylinder poetrol engine which produces 126kW and 226Nm and is paired to a CVT automatic transmission.
The Koleos Initiale is now available in showrooms.
