Land Rover has again expanded its Range Rover Sport line, adding a new 280kW ‘HST’ model to the family.
Driven by an uprated version of Land Rover’s 3.0 litre supercharged petrol V6, the new model enters between the existing 250kW version and the 375kW supercharged V8 model - all of which sit beneath the new 405kW SVR hero.
The new HST is an important addition to the family, essentially replacing the naturally-aspirated 276kW 5.0 litre V8 that was offered with the previous Range Rover Sport.
Performance details for the new variant are still to be revealed, although we can likely expect it to out-pace the 250kW supercharged V6 model’s 7.2 second run to 100km/h.
