Victoria Police make arrests over Ferrari, Maserati, and Porsche thefts
Police are closing in on criminals alleged to have stolen three exotic supercars in Melbourne this week during a brazen home burglary.
Two people have been arrested and charged following the theft of three luxury vehicles from a Melbourne home on Thursday.
Victoria Police allege the offenders stole a Ferrari California sports-car, Maserati Ghibli sedan, and Porsche Cayenne SUV during an aggravated burglary in the early hours of Thursday morning.
The resident was unharmed and only became aware the vehicles were stolen after waking up.
The Police Air Wing located the Ferrari at a Dandenong shopping centre later that day, tracking a 17-year-old male on a stolen motorbike who was eventually arrested by detectives and uniformed police.
About the same time, the Police Air Wing also spotted the Porsche and tracked it to a shopping centre in Dandenong, with the driver dumping the car and fleeing in another vehicle.
A 26-year-old man and a 57-year-old woman were arrested a short time later by police.
The man was charged with a number of offences, while the woman was released pending further enquiries.
The 2015 Maserati Ghibli has yet to be located, and anyone with information is encouraged to call 000 or Crime Stoppers on 1300 333 000.
