Multiple 2023 Audi models recalled due to front seat failure

Audi has recalled six models currently sold in its Australian showrooms, as a result of a common fault between the cars.

Audi Australia has recalled 29 examples of its 2023 Audi A4, A5, Q3, Q7, Q8 and TT due to a fault with the seat frame used by the six models.

The recall notice, lodged with the Department of Infrastructure, says: "Due to a manufacturing defect, the outer backrest frame of the front seats may have been incorrectly welded. As a result, the seat frame could fracture.

"In the event of an accident, a fractured seat frame could increase the risk of serious injury or death to vehicle occupants.
