Mercedes-AMG E43 price revealed
German brand details pricing for its new hybrid and performance models.
Mercedes-Benz has announced prices for its new E350e plug-in hybrid and the AMG powered E43.
Priced from $159,900 before on-road costs, the Mercedes-AMG E43 rides on 20-inch wheels and gains Nappa leather upholstery, sports exhaust and sports braking system as well as a range of AMG kit over the regular E-Class models.
The E43 is powered by the German car maker's twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 engine that produces 295kW and 520Nm and is mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission with power delivered to all four wheels,
The E350e, which is priced from $131,600 before on-road costs, pairs a four-cylinder petrol engine with an electric motor which combine for a power output of 210kW and 550Nm and is mated to a nine-speed automatic.
Mercedes claims that its plug-in hybrid can run on pure electric power for up to 30km and can sip just 2.4L/100km of fuel when used as a hybrid.
Fitted with all the Mercedes-Benz standard luxury kit the E3530e also gains the brand's air suspension, a panoramic sunroof and pre-entry climate control.
Both models are now available for order with the first examples arriving in february 2017.
