Jaguar could be set to take on the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe with a new two-door XJ model, according to reports out of the UK this week.
The new grand tourer, which would replace the XK due for retirement this year, could even revive the XJS badge that last appeared in 1996.
Introduced in 1975, the XJS arrived as a successor of sorts for the legendary E-Type, and was eventually replaced by the first of the new-generation XK models.
