Fresh look for 2015 Kia Rio

Kia has revealed a new look for its Rio hatch in time for the Paris motor show.

The South Korean manufacturer has prepared an upgrade for its best-selling car that includes new details inside and out.

The car has a revised grille, bumpers and foglights that lend a more modern look.

It rides on new alloy wheels ranging from 15- to 17-inches and will be available in new blue and yellow colours.

On the inside, new chrome accents for the air vents join a revised centre stack surrounding the audio system.

But Australian customers will miss out on a new DAB digital radio and 7.0-inch infotainment display that features faster route calculation for its satellite navigation software.

More importantly, stop-start fuel saving systems that can have a significant effect on fuel economy will not be available in Australia when the revised Rio arrives in November.

The technology may be available in local models at a later date.

Australian models will continue to be available with a 1.4-litre four-cylinder petrol engine paired with either a six-speed manual or four-speed automatic. The larger 1.6-litre four-cylinder petrol engine will also continued, paired with a six-speed auto 'box as standard.
