Audi’s LED Tech Certified As Energy Efficient By EU

Audi’s range of innovative LED headlighting has been certified as innovative technology for lowering CO2 emissions by the European Commission.

According to official specs, Audi’s LED headlights consume approximately 80 Watts in low-beam mode, compared with more than 135 Watts for a conventional halogen bulb.

The European Commission conducted independent testing ahead of Audi’s certification, and found that LED headlights fitted to an A6 resulted in 1g/km C02 savings.
