Porsche has announced the first limited-edition model (of many, you can be sure) to be based on the brand-new 2012 911 Coupe.
Badged as the 'Club Coupe', the new model commemorates the 60th anniversary of the first Porsche owners clubs in Germany.
Porsche is known for embracing the enthusiasm of its customers, and there are now 640 official Porsche clubs, in 75 countries, with around 181,000 members.
The Club Coupe will be limited to just 13 examples (matching the number of original founding club members), but only 12 will be available for purchase.
One example will be kept for Porsche’s own collection, while the remaining 12 will be made available to Porsche club members via an online lottery.
‘Winners’ of this lottery will be granted the right to buy an example of the €142,831/US$175,580 coupe.
Based on the Carrera S, the Club Coupe is equipped with the dual-clutch PDK transmission, Carrera S Powerkit (lifting power to 316kW), and riding on 20 inch SportTechno wheels.
All will be finished in Brewster Green metallic, trimmed in dark brown leather and aluminium - the latter laser engraved with the owners’ name.
Only Porsche club members in India and China are ineligible to enter the lottery, so if you are interested in bringing one to Australia, we suggest you contact your friendly Porsche dealer for local pricing.
