2024 Nissan Z Nismo arrives in Australia, now on sale through dealers

The hottest Nissan Z sports car to reach showrooms is now on sale through dealers in Australia, after a sold-out online pre-sale late last year.

The 2024 Nissan Z Nismo sports car is now available to order through Nissan dealers in Australia after the first 100 cars sold out online in 53 minutes late last year.

The higher-performance version of the Z coupe can now be ordered freely through Nissan Australia dealerships – alongside the regular model introduced 18 months ago – with deliveries to begin "almost immediately," the company says.

Prices are unchanged at $94,000 plus on-road costs for the nine-speed automatic-only Z Nismo, a near-$20,000 premium over the regular model with an automatic transmission ($75,800 plus on-roads).

Upgrades for the price include an 11kW/45Nm power boost for the 3.0-litre twin-turbo petrol V6 – to 309kW/520Nm – plus wider and lighter 19-inch Rays alloy wheels, larger brakes, unique styling, Recaro sports seats, and Nismo suspension and transmission tuning.

At least one Z Nismo has arrived in Australia and registered by the Japanese car maker's local head office, for use in a promotional video filmed on the winding road up to the Lake Mountain ski resort about two hours northeast of Melbourne.
