2024 Ford Ranger and Everest prices rise

Both popular models have been hit by price rises, ranging from $250 to $1250 depending on the grade.

Almost all grades of the 2024 Ford Ranger line-up will get a price hike from June, with the highest increase coming in at more than $1200 extra.

The changes, which will come into effect from 1 June 2024, affect nearly all variations of Australia’s best-selling vehicle in 2023, with only the base XL managing to avoid Ford's latest price rises.

The price rises for the Ranger are either $250 or $1250 depending on variant, while the related Everest SUV is also being slugged with hikes ranging from $250 to $1625.

According to a spokesperson for Ford, the increased sticker prices reflect costs going up elsewhere.

“The price adjustments are consistent with the evaluation of market conditions we regularly undertake across our product portfolio, which take into consideration a number of different external factors such as currency and material cost considerations,” they said in a statement given to Drive.

The news follows the loss of several key features on both the Ranger and Everest models as part of a mid-year 2024.5 update, though in some cases other equipment has been added.

As reported by Drive last month, Ford has confirmed the Ranger will no longer receive access to the MyKey safety feature, while the XL, XLS, XLT, Sport, and Wildtrak have had automatic high-beam removed as standard.

There have also been changes made to the availability of the spray-in tub liner, and Ford has discontinued the Raptor's optional bead-lock capable wheels, and decal pack.

However, while some equipment has been removed, Ford has added to the list of standard features for both models.

Pro Trailer Backup Assist now comes on the Ranger Wildtrak, Platinum, and Raptor models, and can be optioned on Ranger XLT and Sport.

Though it is offered as standard on the Platinum, Ranger Sport and Wildtrak buyers can now option the Flexible Rack System – and with the exception of the XL, all variants now feature auto engine stop-start, though it can be removed as a no-cost option on some models.

Additionally, the Ranger XL gains a heavy-duty suspension tune as standard, while the Ranger XLS gains the Tow Pack and Tech Pack.
