2024 Ford Everest price and specs: Minor changes coming for Ranger-based SUV

The Ford Everest is due to undergo minor changes for 2024, with certain features being moved between the options and standard equipment list.

  • '2024.5' Ford Everest pricing and specifications
  • Previous optional equipment now standard on Everest Trend and Sport
  • New trailer reversing assist tech available as a cost-option
  • Priced from $53,990 before on-road costs

The 2024 Ford Everest SUV will follow its Ranger ute sibling in gaining minor upgrades when it arrives in showrooms later this year.

As with changes to the Ranger announced earlier today, the Everest is approaching 'Model Year 2024.5' – due to begin production in Thailand from March 2024.

While not as comprehensive as the Ranger’s updates, the Ford Everest will be available with a new ‘Pro Trailer Backup Assist’ system, designed to help drivers reverse with a trailer or caravan attached to their SUV.

Unlike the Ranger – where the system is standard on three high-end grades – the reversing assistant will only be available as a part of the Everest Trend 4x4 and Sport 4x4’s existing Touring Pack for an additional $2500.

The feature has also been added to a new ‘Pro Towing Pack’, exclusive to the Everest Platinum for $2900 – which also includes a tow bar and integrated trailer brake controller which have since been deleted from the grade’s standard equipment list.

Standard features are largely unchanged across the line-up, except for the Everest Trend and Sport which are now equipped with exterior zone lighting and black stand-off roof rails, no longer restricted to those who order the Touring Pack.

Ford has announced the Everest Trend 4x2 won’t be included in the MY24.5 line-up, while the Wildtrak won't return after its limited run in showrooms, reducing the range to six variants.

The 2024 Ford Everest is due in Australian showrooms shortly after production of the model begins in March.
