2024 Audi TT Final Edition on sale now in Australia as last of the breed

Audi Australia is farewelling the TT sports car with a 'Final Edition', now in the brand's local showrooms in "strictly limited numbers".

  • Final Edition sends off 25-year-old nameplate
  • Added equipment compared to base TT
  • Priced from $88,479 plus on-road costs

The last version of the Audi TT has arrived in Australian showrooms, with the ‘Final Edition’ going on sale to mark the end of the line for the sports car for the foreseeable future.

Production of the TT ended last month, with the last example rolling off Audi’s production line in Hungary where the model’s three generations had been built since 1998.

While overseas versions of the Audi TT Final Edition are based on the TTS (Europe) or the TT Roadster (US), Australian examples build upon the TT’s entry-level ‘45 TFSI Quattro’ coupe variant.

Priced from $88,479 plus on-road costs, the Audi TT Final Edition is $4479 more expensive than the TT 45 TFSI Quattro it is based on – however, Audi claims the Final Edition has $14,000 worth of extra equipment.

This includes an S Line Competition Plus package – which adds a rear spoiler and black exterior highlights – and 19-inch gloss anthracite black or 20-inch 10-spoke gloss black wheels.

The Audi TT Final Edition is available in a choice of four metallic paint colours – Turbo Blue, Glacier White Metallic, Chronos Grey Metallic and Tango Red Metallic.

Inside, the Audi TT’s leather and Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel now features a race-inspired red ‘12 o’clock’ marker, while coloured interior elements can either be ordered in Slate Grey or Turbo Blue.

Additional options compared to the standard car include power-adjustable nappa leather seats with ‘S’ embossing and Ara Blue or Express Red stitching.

The Audi TT Final Edition continues to be powered by a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, producing 180kW and 370Nm – delivered to all four wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

According to Audi, there are “strictly limited” examples of the TT Final Edition – though the brand previously told Drive order books have closed, with customers who have not already placed a deposit needing to wait for excess showroom stock to come up for sale next year.
