2024 Audi RS4 Avant, RS5 Sportback price and specs: Competition Plus pack added
New upgrade packages promise sharper handling for the fast twin-turbo V6 wagon and liftback, plus minor specification changes.

The 2024 Audi RS4 Avant and 2024 Audi RS5 Sportback have been updated with new option packages for the exterior and interior, including a Competition Plus package claimed to improve handling.
The Competition Plus package will be available in "limited numbers" on the RS4 Avant and RS5 Sportback from mid-2024, priced at $13,990 on each vehicle.
Audi's new option includes RS Sport Suspension Pro, which uses coil-over suspension and lowers vehicle ride height by 10mm, with a function to lower it a further 10mm for an overall 20mm drop compared to non-Competition versions.
The race track-oriented suspension is also firmer, with stiffer anti-roll bars, intended to deliver more agile and precise handling along with retuned steering, a specially-calibrated centre differential and revised anti-lock braking (ABS) software.
Audi says the ABS retune helps the carbon-ceramic brakes – and optional Pirelli P Zero Corsa tyres – stop the vehicle two metres earlier from 100km/h.
Power and torque for the 2.9-litre twin-turbocharged V6 remain at 331kW and 600Nm, however the pack brings a revised ECU (engine control unit) and matte black RS exhaust system claimed to save 8kg, while adding a louder engine note.
Audi claims faster acceleration times and top speeds with the package fitted, the RS4 Avant achieving a 0.2-second improvement in its 0-100km/h time, which drops to a claimed 3.9 seconds.
The RS5 Sportback shaves 0.1 seconds from its 0-100km/h time – now 3.8 seconds – with both cars having a 290km/h top speed if the 250km/h limiter is optioned out of each vehicle.
There are also RS front bucket seats in Dinamica (black) which are available as a $1300 option alongside the Competition Plus pack.
The upgraded seats are only available with the 'RS design package in red' – which costs a further $3400 – that includes a red-stitched Alcantara steering wheel, gear selector and centre console knee pads and RS floor mats, while all exterior badging is made black.
The RS4 Avant and RS5 Sportback are also available in a new Sebring Black paint – with or without the Competition Plus package – while vehicles with the package are available with a choice of 20-inch wheel designs.
The Pirelli P Zero Corsa tyres offered as part of the Competition Plus package are available as a stand-alone option.
The 2024 Audi RS4 Avant and Audi RS5 Sportback are due in showrooms in mid-2024.
