2023 Hyundai i30, Tucson, Venue, Staria, Staria Load price rises in Australia
Price rises are coming for some of Hyundai Australia’s top-selling models within the next three months.
Prices for the 2023 Hyundai Tucson, i30, Venue, Staria and Staria Load are due to rise again in the coming months.
Dealers have been advised existing orders placed before the deadlines will not be "price protected", however some Hyundai showroom operators say they may elect to absorb the additional costs to take care of long-term customers.
Customers who don't agree to the increased prices are entitled to a refund of their deposit under Australian Consumer Law.
Showrooms have been advised of increases across top-selling Hyundai model lines by up to $500, attributed to exchange rate pressures and rising shipping costs.
From 1 April 2023, prices are expected to rise by $280 for the Hyundai i30 hatch, $310 for the i30 Sedan – a few months ahead of its mid-life update in the second half of this year – and $500 for the Staria people mover and Staria Load delivery van.
The price rises for both i30 body styles exclude the high-performance N models, which received price rises last year – but include 'N Line' versions.
Meanwhile, from 1 June 2023, increases of $250 for the Tucson family SUV, $100 for the base-model version of the Venue city SUV, and $250 for the higher-grade Venue Active and Elite variants are slated to be applied.
Hyundai dealers have been advised orders placed before the price rises come into effect will not be protected from the hikes.
