2022 Subaru Outback, Impreza, XV prices rise by $800
Prices across the Subaru Outback, Impreza and XV ranges have risen by $800 – which, in the latter pair's case, represents the second round of published price rises in four weeks.
Prices across the 2022 Subaru Outback, Impreza and XV ranges have increased by $800 – just months after prices of the latter two models rose by up to $500.
Effective today (5 May), all versions of the Outback crossover wagon, Impreza small car and XV small SUV will increase in price by $800, attributed by Subaru Australia to "increases in costs associated with production and logistics".
The announcement coincides with confirmation the Model Year 2023 BRZ sports coupe range will rise by between $1300 and $1400, also attributed to "increases in production costs".
It follows after the Impreza and XV ranges were hit with $400 to $500 price rises (published by Subaru in January) – meaning that, given the axing of the 2.0i base models at the same time, the price of the cheapest Subaru on sale in Australia has increased from $23,990 to $27,290 plus on-road costs within weeks.
Prices of the new Subaru WRX range are unchanged – "having already incorporated the increase in various costs associated with production and logistics," according to Subaru Australia – while the Forester medium SUV is exempt from the price rises for the time being.
Subaru Australia has committed to "protecting all existing customer orders" placed before today, exempting them from the $800 price hikes.
“At Subaru Australia, delivering an exceptional customer experience is our priority and all alternatives are explored before any carefully considered price adjustments are implemented,†the company said in a statement.
Standard equipment levels are believed to unchanged across all affected model ranges.
