2022 Mini new cars
The British marque has a tame year ahead in Australia, with a few limited-edition variants of existing models representing the only additions to the line-up.
BMW subsidiary Mini had a quiet 2021, with sales up 11 per cent over the year prior – slightly below the industry average.
While a facelifted Hatch and Convertible range arrived in Australian showrooms between July and October 2021, there are no all-new models on the horizon for the next 12 months.
However, Drive understands several yet-to-be-announced limited-edition variants of existing cars will go on sale in 2022.
A new three-door hatch – teased in these images, and subsequently leaked in China – is slated for an overseas launch in 2023, and while yet to be confirmed, is likely to be offered Down Under.
The marque has promised to go all-electric by 2030, and its last petrol-powered model will break cover no later than 2025.
