2018 Jaguar E-Pace – Price And Features For Australia

Jag’s new SUV to be its cheapest model

Jaguar has detailed the price and specification of its second SUV range, announcing the E-Pace as a smaller, cheaper companion to sell alongside the F-Pace range

The new model won’t hit Australian shores until April 2018, but when it does the British brand expects the E-Pace to become its most popular model.

In a similar move to its Land Rover sister-brand, Jaguar will introduce the E-Pace with a choice of two exterior packs (E-Pace or E-Pace R-Dynamic), a selection of three 2.0-litre diesel and two 2.0-litre petrol engines, and four distinct trim levels plus a fully-optioned First Edition launch trim.

All models will come standard with a nine-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive, emergency braking, lane keeping assistance, front and rear parking sensors and a reverse camera.

Pricing for the most basic model, simply called, E-Pace starts at $47,750 making it the only variant to sneak in under $50,000.

Standard features for the entry-level E-Pace include cloth interior trim, dual-zone climate control, a six-speaker audio system, LED headlights and 17-inch alloy wheels.

Moving up one grade to the E-Pace S sees specification stretch to include 18-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, leather trim, puddle lights, and satellite navigation.

Yet another rung up the ladder and the E-Pace SE comes with 19-inch alloy wheels, automatic high beam, a powered tailgate, and 11-speaker Meridian premium audio.

The range-topping E-Pace HSE trim has even larger 20-inch alloys, keyless entry, gesture control for the tailgate, and perforated Windsor leather trim.

Buyers that pick the R-Dynamic package gain a different steering wheel design that includes gear shift paddles, alloy pedals, a black headliner and Ebony Sportmesh seats, body coloured bumper inserts with fog lights, satin chrome side vents, and a gloss black grille with satin chrome surround.

As a temporary flagship model the E-Pace R-Design First Edition will be offered only in 2018, and comes with the exclusive option of unique red, black or white exterior finishes, 20-inch alloys, panoramic sunroof, ambient interior lighting, 18-way electric front seats with Windsor leather and contrasting red stitching, head-up display and the full suite of high-end features from the HSE.

It will only be available with the entry-level P250 2.0-litre petrol four-cylinder that produces 183kW with a claimed average fuel consumption of 7.7L/100km or the mid-spec D180 2.0-litre turbo diesel that generates 132kW and consumes a claimed average of 5.6L/100km.

All other variants can also be had with the base-level D150 or high-grade D240 turbo diesel options, which produce 110kW and 177kW respectively, or the range-topping P300 turbo petrol with 221kW.
