Mitsubishi has given its strong-selling Outlander midsized SUV a going-over for the 2017 model-year, with changes to safety equipment, seating layouts and connectivity tech among the updates.
From this month, the range-topping 2017 Outlander Exceed gets rear cross traffic alert, lane change assist, blind spot monitoring and ‘Multi Around Monitor’ as standard.
For other variants, a new mid-range ‘LS Safety Pack’ model replaces the XLS in the line-up, while the entry-level LS is retained.
As the name suggests, the additional dollars required for the LS Safety Pack over the LS brings features such as forward collision mitigation, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control and auto high-beam. These features are also standard in the Exceed.
