2016 Holden Colorado 7 recalled for seat fix
Holden has issued a recall for its 2016 model-year Colorado 7 SUV over concerns the second row of seats may not lock into position.
The car maker said in a statement: "A condition has been identified whereby the recliner mechanisms fitted to the second row (60 per cent side – left and centre seating positions) may not lock correctly when the seat back is placed into the upright position".
If the fault occurs, the seat back has the potential to move unintentionally in an accident, which increases the risk of injury for passengers.
Affected Colorado 7 vehicles were manufactured from 10 October 2015 to 1 June 2016. The VIN ranges for these units is MMU156MK0GH621311 to MMU156FK0GH651822.
Owners of the recalled vehicles will be notified by Holden and will be advised of required action, with any repairs to be conducted free-of-charge.
