Porsche’s updated Cayenne, spied testing in recent weeks, has been revealed this week ahead of a Paris Motor Show premiere.
Among the big SUV’s upgrades for 2015 are a number of subtle styling changes, along with a pair of new powertrains - including a plug-in hybrid option.
That ‘E-Hybrid’ system will also be joined by a new 3.6 litre turbo V6, replacing the naturally-aspirated 4.8 V8 of the outgoing range.
Styling
On the styling front, changes for 2015 include - and these may prove tricky to spot - a new look to the grille and bumper, along with a re-contoured bonnet.
More noticeable are the new headlights, which have been sharpened at the inside corner, while the tail-lights have been given a more slender design. The tailgate and rear bumper are likewise revised for the new model year.
The Cayenne’s lights have been also been upgraded to include bi-xenon units with four-point ‘hovering’ LED daytime lights in most models, while the Cayenne Turbo gains full-LED driving lights.
Shots of the interior are still to come, but Porsche promises a redesigned sports steering wheel with 918-inspired shift paddles, along with a new rear seating design with optional ventilation.
