Subaru has rolled out a pair of new 'by STI' Liberty variants ('Legacy' overseas), picking up new styling and handling tweaks from the carmaker's in-house tuning arm.
Based on the Japanese-market B4 sedan and '2.5i EyeSight tS' Touring wagon models, the cars get 18-inch alloys, unique spoilers, new front and rear bumpers, honeycomb grilles, chrome exhaust tips and STI badging.
In the cabin, there's 'Titanium Grey' carbon highlights, black leather-trimmed seats, console cover and steering wheel with red contrast stitching, 260km/h instrument cluster and an STI power button.
Power figures remain unchanged, but STI has added a sports exhaust system, sports coil springs and shocks, strut bars and front lower arms.
Only 300 of the cars will be produced, and all of them for Japan only.
