2008 Nissan GT-R Revealed
An early release of MotorTrend magazine has revealed the face of the all-new monster Nissan GT-R.
The cover claims a 0-60mph time of just 3.5 seconds which is well into supercar territory, yet a price tag under US$80,000 could make this the most desirable bang-for-your-buck car in the world.
From the showroom floor the GT-R is expected to run an incredible 11.7 second quarter mile, with a top speed of 302km/h achieved through a popularly speculated twin-turbo 3.8-litre V6 power plant mated to a dual-clutch gearbox with the latest ATESSA all-wheel drive setup.
If there figures are accurate, not only will it outstrip Nissan's benchmark Porsche 911 with ease, but would also give even the most exclusive supercar a run for its money.
Many thanks to our good friends at MotorAuthority.
