Cadillac Provoq Concept - 2008 Detroit Auto Show

The Provoq crossover concept is another sign that U.S. manufacturers are looking at building more small crossover vehicles.
The Cadillac is destined to compete with the BMW X3 and the new Mercedes-Benz GLK. It will seat five and has a 114.4-inch wheelbase with short front and rear overhangs.

The Provoq is practically an electric vehicle with a fuel cell. It can go 483km on one tank, 451km of that is on
hydrogen and the rest on electric power.
“We include a lithium ion battery pack that has the capability of being plug-in charged overnight at home, it is a smaller pack than we use typically with our E-Flex approach because we really want to focus on hydrogen propulsion because we think hydrogen is a much more efficient storage mechanism for electricity.” Nick Zielinski, GM’s vehicle chief engineer of advanced system integration said.

Toyota Camry TRD - 2008 Detroit Auto Show

Toyota Racing & Development has its way with the humble Toyota Camry.

The end result is basically bigger wheels, leather seats and a sunroof with no power increase. A bit of a disappointment for a car with a TRD badge.
On another note Toyota and Microsoft seem to be having a bad partnership to lead the way…
