What does David Beckham actually drive as his everyday family car?

Posh and Becks might enjoy a luxury lifestyle, but their family car is surprisingly humble.

Posh and Becks might like the luxury life, but they still have to ferry their four kids around. Here's the car they use as a family hauler.

Football star David Beckham and former Spice Girl Victoria 'Posh' Beckham are once again winning hearts with a new docuseries on Netflix simply titled Beckham.

The show is a treasure trove of amazing automotive references, from Posh reluctantly revealing she was driven to school as a child in a Rolls-Royce, to the countless shots of David's 1997 993 Carrera S from the couple's early dating days.

As celebrities worth millions of dollars, it's unsurprising that David and Victoria Beckham have a penchant for luxury cars. However, with four kids between them – Brooklyn, 24, Romeo, 21, Cruz, 18, and Harper, 12 – they're also family-focussed.

Which begs the question – what car do they use as a family hauler on a daily basis?

While David owns everything from a fleet of Maseratis (he's an ambassador for the Italian brand) to an Aston Martin DBS and Bentley Bentayga, his favoured family car is a little more rough and ready.

When cruising around his home country of England, David opts for a mix of new and vintage Land Rover SUVs.

The footballer uses the iconic off-roaders to ferry the kids to school, carry out his beekeeping hobby, teach his kids to drive, and make morning coffee runs with daughter Harper in tow.

So, which model is his go-to? Well, Beckham has a veritable fleet of Land Rover cars, but he appears to use five main models as his daily drivers.

The first is a Land Rover Series III with a soft-top and pastel Grasmere Green paint that spends most of its life on the family's country property.

A short-wheelbase model with a soft-top roof, the car likely dates back to the 1970s or very early 1980s, and looks to have been restored with a deluxe bonnet and bonnet-mounted spare wheel. Extra credit for the period-correct 6.50/16 tyres.

The classic Land Rover is a favourite amongst the Beckhams' kids, who use it as a prop for their Instagram photos. David also keeps his beekeeping gear in the back of the off-roader.

The second Land Rover in the family's rotation is a five-door Land Rover Defender 110 in Santorini Black that travels between their country home in the Cotswolds and their city home in the heart of London.

The car was famously the cause of controversy amongst Cotswolds residents in 2020, after it was photographed parked illegally alongside double lines in the town of Burford in Oxfordshire.

For a more city-friendly footprint, the Beckhams also own the same car in short-wheelbase, three-door form.

If the aforementioned Land Rovers are ever out of action, the Beckham family doesn't need to worry because they have a fourth model – a five-door Land Rover Defender from the 2007–2016 generation (the Beckhams' third Defender from that era) finished in what looks to be Carpathian Grey.

Finally, the family owns a current-generation Land Rover Defender 110 in black that lives in London and appears to be used to ferry their youngest child, Harper, to and from school.

Five Land Rover cars and we've barely scratched the surface of David and Victoria's extensive car collection – let alone their kids' cars.

Most recently, their youngest son Cruz passed his driving test in September 2023.

His choice of first car? A Burgundy short-wheelbase Land Rover Defender 90, of course.
