It’s not often that our pick of the range sits at the entry-level, but that’s exactly how we’d characterise the most 2023 Audi Q5 35 TDI.

2019 Audi Q5 50 TDI Quattro Sport: owner review

This is my first experience of an Audi and was 3rd in line behind Mercedes and BMW sixes. The Mercedes was a disappointment to drive, and this in the end represented far better bang for bucks than BMW. Owning a Volvo already another one of these would have been first choice, but wanted a six cylinder and they do not exist under that brand. Had car for few months now and overall found it good in all areas except the active steering which is much more an aid than a stand alone steering system, like in Volvo. The finish quality of the car is what you would expect from a high end European car. This particular car is fitted with almost all options available in Australia. The headlight package for what you pay is overstated compared again with Volvo's XC60 active headlights, but the full LED lights are bright and effective. It is also disappointing on active steering that it locks onto the vehicle in the Right hand lane on a dual highway on active cruise, instead of the vehicle in front. Why Audi have done this is a mystery and its annoying. Very happy with the mechanics and power/performance and comfort, but, my first thoughts on the styling were that it was a little outdated, and I nearly walked away from the purchase although it is something I have quickly become accustomed to with a little time and quite like the styling now. I think most of the technology is easy and practical to use, but the system of numbers used to operate some of the functions seems a mistake, as does the voice activation on the GPS where you need to say the city or suburb before the address. Took a lot of getting used to, but once you overcome that its very good all round, including its search and navigate functions The car has a not so smooth gear change when cold at times and seems to hesitate a little sometimes when changing, but lets see how that goes after 1st service. For me a more sophisticated active steer is the key to making this a great car, and refining some of those idiosyncrasies that have crept into the technology. It has good space inside for a car of its size, and is comfortable in the same manner of other Euro builds
2013 Audi A1 Sportback 1.4 TFSI Sport Review
Owner Review | 15 Jun 2016
Fast, Fuel Efficient, Cheap. Normally you have to pick two. Fortunately, that is not the case with the Audi A1 Sport(if you buy second hand). The 1.4 Twin Charged engine, coupled with the 7 speed twin-clutch VW-AG S-tronic gearbox is an amazing little package that fits perfectly with the little A1. It is a shame that they have phased it out and now replaced this engine with the 1.8 Turbo. The 1.4 has a very nice hissing noise from the turbo and a glorious raspy exhaust note all the way to 7000 RPM. The car with a simple stage 1 ECU Remap from APR, makes the car sprint 0-100 in less than 6 seconds. The power sitting now at 150+kw, and 320nm of torque (in a 1100kg weight)This brings the car into a proper hot hatch territory. At the same time on a combined cycle the car is able to achieve average of 6L-7L/100km, and 5.2L/100km on highway! The steering was one of the most impressive aspects to the A1 Sport. It is sharp and very precise. A lot of people compare this car to a polo GTI assuming that they would drive very similarly, surprisingly they are very different! The Audi is a bit harsher with stiffer suspension from factory, and the steering is much more responsive. The Audi really is great on a twisty mountain road and it always surprises people with how it keeps up with cars much higher price tags. My overall opinion about the car is that: you really can have your cake, and eat it too!
