Mazda Taiki Concept - 2008 Detroit Auto Show
Well this is one car that will most likely not see production for some time, or at the very least, not in its current futuristic form. Dubbed the Taiki concept, it features the next-generation rotary engine and according to Mazda, it will influence the future of the company’s sports coupe lineup.
The new engine, 16X RENESIS, is a 1.6-litre engine, a 0.3-litre increase over the current design. The new engine features a two rotor design as well as direct injection and a longer stroke.
Rotary fans will be pleased to know the Taiki concept is rumoured to be the platform for the return of the iconic RX-7.

Can see where Mazdas styling is going in the future what with this and the Furai. Not too keen myself…all looks a bit hoonish to be honest.

Very futuristic, but the overall look is pretty awful. The front and rear of this are plain ugly IMO.
