It’s been confirmed; Gran Turismo 5 will be released, in Australia, next week on November 25. In the meantime, the game’s ad team in the US have come up with this funny commercial to sooth our tortured anticipation.

Whether or not the actual game is in stores on this date is another matter. The new game will feature over 1000 different cars and loads of different road circuits and track from around the world. The new game will also feature go-kart racing for the first time, as well as drift, rally and NASCAR options.

Unfortunately, it’ll never be shown on Aussie TV due to the ‘hoon’ behaviour that it depicts. Apparently, us Aussies aren’t capable of thinking for ourselves or making rational decisions so we can’t see things like this…

I have the signature edition preordered and that comes with the AMG SLS model. Which version comes with the GTR?

Looks like its the collectors edition, I would rather the SLS anyway. As Joey has said HN have it for $77, guess ill wait to see how it changes next week, quite confident JB will undercut.

The US collectors edition comes with a 1:43 scale GTR. In Australia, we can only get the SLS model with the Signature edition. Mine was pre-ordered a few months ago.

I wish they would at least include the Holden and FPV cars that they did in GT4!! I can’t believe that they only have the old AU Supercar and the SS!

You can get GT5 recorder for $68. I’m surprised some of you are paying so much!

I think the Monaro is in there as well but I agree, and add to that it’s a VY SS so it’s nowhere near as good as the current one. They’ll probably release an Australian car add-on in the future for another $20.
