Novitec F430 vs Enzo
December 26, 2007 by George Skentzos
The featherweight Ferrari F430-based Scuderia managed to lap the Ferrari test track at what is controversially referred to as the same time as the brand’s hero car, the Enzo – with only an additional 20hp.
Imagine then, if you took an F430 and attached twin-superchargers and an upgraded exhaust producing a mammoth 527kW. Well highly acclaimed Ferrari tuner Novitec has done just that, and this drag race against an Enzo says it all.

Enzo is amazing. I love the Enzo. F430 looks to riced.
Whats with Americans and straight lines?
Ive got a belief that if Ferrari didnt want the car with twin super chargers then there was a reason. I think Ferrari knows more about cars than Novitec. After market cars never last or are reliable as factory. Even Brabus cars compromise their cars and arent as drivable as AMG’s. Im sure theres an agreement that F series owners of Ferraris are not allowed to modify their cars. Lets hope he leaves the enzo alone.
What you don’t think Ferrari could do the same …..its not just about straight line speed, trust the Yanks to think they could better something. Its a Supercar not a doorslammer! When building cars like Ferrari its a well thought out exercise of matching everything together for a fantastic package! Im sure this car has now lost in other areas!
I’m with you guys – stock standard cars make a lot more sense than aftermarket tuning. I would never ever buy a car that had been modified. No way!
ruined one of the most beautiful v8s in the world..
and they still couldn’t blast the enzo
The sound of the two cars running side by side is fabulous.
Here’s a suggestion for Aussie Top Gear. Run the power lap with high definition sound recordings.
Keep the commentary and background music to a minimum so viewers can better appreciate the sounds from both cockpit and outside views.

I take it the F430 is crap off the line as they did a rolling start drag. It must get to much wheel spin. I guess if I had twin superchargers I would leave big skids as well.
Paying half a million dollars for a car and then fiddling with it just freaks me out.
They should have ran a timed lap of a racetrack, with the same driver in both cars. That’s what Ferraris are for, not drag racing.
