Mitsubishi i-MiEV at 2010 AIMS
Mitsubishi has just unveiled the Mitsubishi i-Miev at the AIMS at Darling Harbour. The all-electric car was first released in Japan in 2009 but it's now here and available to the Australian market.
The Mitsubishi i-MiEV runs solely on electricity and emits zero tailpipe emissions. Using a battery pack electricity is exchanged in three different modes, Drive, Eco and Brake. During braking the battery pack is replenished.
It's the first mass-produced electric car to come to Australia, with 110 planned for the market, initially. And although the car only delivers 47kW of power and 180Nm of torque, it still offers a driving experience comparable to a normal petrol equivalent.
