Holy craplakistan, Batman. I must have this car! Golf gti performance but on a much smaller budget. Win-win.

last time i checked, Polo GTI weren’t going to come with xenons standard…and definitely not on the show car

    Please be under $30k…

  • Jimmy

Unlikely. Considering you don’t get much change from $26000 for the 77tsi comfortline I would be pretty surprised if this was under $30000. Happy to be proven wrong though, VW!

    • ABMPSV

I think it would be between $32,000 and $35,000

The 77tsi is listed at 20k plus on roads. Under 30k for sure

    Manual please!

    • Nath746

I agree – bring a manual version over here and i would buy it. the dsg may be faster and more fuel efficient, but it is boring. manual adds the fun factor that you just can’t get in an automatic version.

That drap is almost as impressive as the car.

    Great car!

  • NotTheStig

Great car but really – do we need 9 photos of the car under the sheet ?

21 pics and none of the engine, interior or even inside the boot ?

Have you got your kids going around taking photos ?

Let’s not kid ourselves; DSG is an automatic gearbox, which hesitates and second-guesses you like any auto does (at least my brother’s Golf GTi DSG does).

VW, if you believe in this gearbox so much then why don’t you scrap all of your manuals?

    • crownleyian

DSG is much better than the standard Autos.

      But I don’t understand why people buy Auto’s, I really don’t!

Do people understand how much safer it is to drive a manual?

      • Nath746

I agree. Manuals are so much safer than autos, you can still stop if your brakes don’t work for example

I’ve read reviews on Car, Evo and Auto Express. Many say it’s good in many areas, but not quite as interactive as a Clio 200/Cup, Mini Cooper or Swift Sport. But if it’s at least $5,000 less than it’s competitors (except for the Swift Sport or course) then it’s also great value. I would consider this, but I want manual, so I’m looking closely at the Clio or Swift Sport.

I picked up the info sheet at AIMS and there will be 5 options available:

    3/5dr
    Bi-Xenons
    Alcantara/Leather
Audio pack – touch screen, 6CD, SD slot, 8 speakers, MDI
Comfort pack – Climate control, rain sensing wipers, auto dim mirror
