Nissan Unveil Pivo 2 Concept
October 8, 2007 by George Skentzos
Nissan’s Pivo 2 concept turned more than just heads when it was unveiled recently prior to its debut at the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show.
Building on the popularity of its predecessor, the Pivo 2 is powered by advanced Compact Lithium-ion Batteries and featuring a unique rotating cabin – meaning no reverse gear is required.
While the fully rotating cabin design has made reversing obsolete, each wheel has the capacity to turn a full 90 degrees meaning the Pivo 2 can drive sideways as well as forwards.
Eerily, you are never alone in the Pivo 2 thanks to a robotic agent capable of conversations in both Japanese and English – apparently this was implemented to make every journey less stressful.
The Pivo 2 will be showcased among four other production and concept cars from Nissan at the Tokyou Motor Show, starting October 27.

LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
DAT LOOKS SOOOO FUNNIII
ahhh nissan :P
why would i want to have a conversation with a car while i’m driving
What the !!!!!!! Nissan get a life, this sux, looks like something pixar would create, funniest concept ever….
wat is with Nissan making stupid concepts like this and the maxim or mixim or whatever its called.
They could never sell this – it’s nearly as dangerous for pedestrians as a lawn mower.
LOOKS SOOOO FUNNIII
What’s with these concepts like this? It might be good for the middle of Tokyo, but useless for Australia.
technically you would think it still has to have some sort of reverse gearing somewhere.
whether or not the cabin rotates the wheels still have to change the direction they spin.
Three seater like McLarren F1 and stiring in the door like the old Benz. Could have four wheel stiring, but can it reverse?
Not a practical car!!
