Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG – Germany’s Most Attractive Car?

According to a survey held by German Car Magazine, Auto Bild, the Mercedes Benz SLS AMG is Germany’s most attractive new car.

Over 100,000 readers participated in the magazine vote, ranking the SLS AMG in top spot and it’s not hard to see why. With an inspired design from Mercedes most iconic model the SL300 Gullwing, the SLS it was always going to be a stunner.

Buyers will be glad to note that the SLS AMG isn’t just all looks. Powered by a 6.2-litre hand built V8 producing 420 kW and 650 Nm of torque the SLS AMG will hit 100km/h in just 3.8 seconds and accelerate hard to its top speed of 317 km/h. Impressive numbers by any standards.

The survey involved more than 100 new cars placed in 5 separate categories. While the SLS AMG took out the overall top spot, it wasn’t the only title that Mercedes-Benz received. The prestige car maker also achieved overall 2nd place with its new E-Class Cabriolet and won 1st place in the Studies and Concept Car class with the F 800 Style Concept.

Overall this was an impressive result for Mercedes-Benz, showing that the car maker is still a leader in automotive style and design.

    Totaly agree…infact i would even go one further and say best looking car in the world! This car is freakin awsome.

    No-one has ever really credited Germans with having particularly good taste. And I guess the outcome of this survey is a case in point

    A 911 is a much better looking car. Its basic design has been around for over 40yrs and its still got lots of life left in through constant evolution. Its timeless.

    The SLS is a lovely car but its design wont last 6yrs

    The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG is an absolute masterpiece.

    Wait until you see one on the road, you hear its glorious sound as it passes. Perhaps one day you will see one parked on the side of the road and have the chance to observe it, pay attention to the design and sheer beauty.

    This car will stimulate the senses like few others.

    Thank you Mercedes-Benz for creating this incredible vehicle! You invented the car and continue to improve upon perfection. Bravo!

    What baffles me with Benz is they have so many 2 door
    hi-powered sports coupes. Which do you choose when money
    is no object?
    Personally if they put the biturbo v12 in this it would be the best combo.

    I’ve never really associated German cars with ‘beauty’.

    Purposeful, yes. Handsome even.

    If I were to pluck one out it would have to be a 911, probably the Sport Classic.

    I could easily pick a handfull of better looking cars than this. I would be starting in BMW’s and Astons garage.

    I just had another look at the pics in the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Review , and lets just say its porn! I have wood!!! The voters have got it right very bueatiful indeed.
