US-based tuner Hennessey Performance has released the first teaser clip of its Hennessey Venom GT supercar on the streets of England just outside the Silverstone race circuit in the lead-up to its appearance at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

The Hennessey Venom GT is poised to become one of the most insane cars on the planet, shoehorning a 6.2-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine – based on the powerplant in the Corvette Zr1 – into the rear of a stretched-out Lotus Elise.

Production of the Venom GT is limited to just ten vehicles per year, with Australia included in the list of countries where Hennessey plans to establish a dealer network.

With only ten cars being made every year, whats the point in making a dealer network in any country? How many cars will each dealership get? half a car each? Why not just go through an importer like ATECO.

There are two type of people in this world, one that spends his money on a Ferrari 458 Italia, and enjoys the best performance and efficiency that one could ever hope for in a road going sports car, and than there’s the man who gives his money to Hennessey performance, and never sees it again.

Looks awesome! Personally I love it, and can’t wait to see more of it. Hopefully with videos where they can go above a public speed limit :P
