BMW 335is Review

Plug in a JB3 PnP and voila 335IS gains for less than $1kAUD.

    • PolkNole

      Exactly. Any 335i with a JB3 will blow away a stock 335is.

Heck, my 535i with its JB3 will beat a 335is.

    Still no LSD?

    Dissapointing. I expected more.

Does not live up to the great pedigree of the E30 325is

Old cars are always better mate – apparently.

BMW seem toi be missing the mark as of late. They need their customers to give them a good kick to restart them on the ‘Ultimate Driving Machine’ Line.

Make mine Black with Gold pin striping and John Player Special stickers- Old Skool!

  • Andrew Juma

I want one. Scrap that, I would settle for a ‘basic’ 335.

How does the car compare to the 135i coupe Mark?

  • Valet Dabess

    looks good

I liked how they change to single turbo, it’ll feel a little more wild when the boost comes on and saves weight.

    • PolkNole

They didn’t. The 335is still uses the N54 engine which has twin turbos.

My guess is the performance will be line ball with lighter 135i and brakes would not perform as good as 135i.If it was here in Oz it would make an even worse value proposition compared to 135i.

I think bmw is just making this car to remember the e30 325is which was first produced in the 1900s. I also think that bmw is making an equal car to the 335i because it uses its style with the two exhausts on both sides. I dont think it should be auto i think it should come in manual too. Some people are going to want to drive manual cars when thay get older like me. I’m only young and i know alot about bmw. Even thought I think that they are just using an original 325i engine and just putting a supercharger into it and are going to release it in about 2011-2013.

About the BMW, I dont know. Love the engine. Amazing stuff there. But have shut the doors on an E90/92 compared to an E46? That “tank like” thud is gone to a more VW like thud.

Save money here, spend money there. Still the best brand overall. And thats why they do it.
