Honda Jazz Vibe limited edition released

By Matt Brogan |

Honda have today announced a limited edition Jazz model to be known simply as ‘Vibe’.

Vibe is essentially an option package available on Honda Jazz GLi and Honda Jazz VTi models featuring 1.3- and 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engines respectively.

The Vibe limited edition includes $3,200 of additional equipment including a sports grille, alloy wheels (including a matching spare), front foglamps, Bluetooth mobile phone connectivity and of course, Vibe badging, to the already well equipped Jazz models.

Jazz Vibe is also available in a special metallic colour, available only on the limited edition models, known as Brilliant Orange (available on all models except Jazz VTi manual). The existing colour range is still available.

Production is limited to 1,200 units.

Honda Jazz Vibe pricing:

  • Honda Jazz Vibe GLi – $17,740* (M) / $20,040* (A)
  • Honda Jazz Vibe VTi – $21,240* (M) / $23,540*(A)

Pricing is a guide as recommended to us by the manufacturer and does not include dealer delivery, on-road and statutory costs.

    I really like that colour.

    • Hayzel

Why is he getting thumbs down?

      • Nightshifter

cos ppl don’t like that color I guess heh

    • Valet Dabess

i loled when i saw baddass got thumbs down

      • Baddass

I know right? It’s sort of the same feeling when I saw yours….

  • mmmmm

“already well equipped” is wrong, this honda doesn’t have stability control even as an option.
unfortunately it is typical of the once leading honda, they now always seem to be the last car company to include safety features.
inexcusable in a car that targets mums and young drivers.
be nice if honda could raise their standards at least up to hyundai’s

I Know this is becoming the way everyones heading, but seriously, if you need stability program in a 1.3L Jazz to keep you on the road, you shouldn’t be driving.

      • Frenchie

Seams alot of young drivers do!

Anyway you can get slippery conditions at traffic lights where dirt diesel trucks have dropped oil.

        • red-bike

that’s why from day one you are told to drive carefully and keep safe distance from another car – even when you are waiting at the lights.

      • hazyman

for the majority, it’s always good to keep safe in mind

      • The Real Car Fanatic

yeah right Matt, with ground clearance of 150mm and 175 tyres on the GLi, the Jazz is such a road holding car that swerving to a void an accident will not upset it at all.

      • Yonny

Look, I agree up to a point. I have a Jazz GLi and it is a very stable and predictable handler – up to a point. I reckon you’d have to be doing something a bit risky and possibly unwise to come unstuck.

But, risky and possibly unwise pretty much sums up most new drivers, don’t you think, and in 5 years time my Jazz will probably be being driven by someone who doesn’t have a lot of driving experience.

Think of it this way – buy a car with ESP even if you think you don’t need it because you are an above-average driver who knows how to drive properly, because you may just end up saving the life of some young person you’ll never meet. In other words, the more new cars with ESP, the safer the car fleet will become down the track.

And by the way, I thought long and hard about buying a Jazz because of its lack of ESP and only did so because I needed the space the Jazz provided over something like the Mazda 2. I certainly won’t be buying another new car without ESP.

Honda should be ashamed of themselves – the new model Jazz has been available now for 18 months and still there’s no sign of ESP.

        • Jumbo

Have heard that the current Jazz and City will obtain ESP (VSA) by mid way through this year

    • Hayzel

      Nit-picking.

  • vti07

ESC/VSC/VSA will be mandatory on all new passenger cars from November 2011 onwards. However, that does not help the existing cars on the road without this safety feature.

    • toxic_horse

So we will get a new generation of drivers that don’t know how to drive.

      • The Real Car Fanatic

as oppossed to the older generation who don’t know how to.

  • milobob

Still way too expensive for a car of its size.

  • toxic_horse

that was the first time Honda Jazz and Sports have ever been used in the same paragraph.

  • CrustyTheClown

Wayyyyyyy to much coin for to little esp. when you consider they have a 5% advantage of no import-duty

    Unsafe too

  • Chris

Well i happen to own a VIBE and in that color too (its matallic)… it is a really nice car to drive… it has a lot of space and it drives really well… ESP (etc) is only there to assist you not control the car… if you cant drive a car without ESP (etc) then why are you driving??? but yes most new cars are getting ESP (etc) as standard but that still doesn’t make the car safer its the driver that is in control and should be driving with caution…
