New Dodge Charger is no man bag – video

By Tim Beissmann |

The Super Bowl brings out the best in most American advertising companies, and automotive manufacturers are often among the more expensive, engaging and enjoyable offerings.

This year Dodge has got a jump on the competition by launching a series of three new ads during the NFC Championship game broadcast last Monday morning Australian time.

Targeting the groin-grabbing, alpha male demographic, Dexter star and advertisement narrator, Michael C. Hall, throws all notions of chapter 11 bankruptcy, fuel economy and political correctness out the window in the funniest of the trio “Man bag”.

Dodge is expected to air the ads up until the Super Bowl on February 7, when a new 60 second commercial for the Charger will debut, further emphasising the muscle car brand’s new marketing direction.

I’ve always liked the new Charger, would have it over that 300C easily.

    • Baddass

I wonder how many millions Dodge paid for that 60-second clip.

I love the Dodge charger. I would like to buy the original one day but please, get rid of the chrome rims.

Theyre doing it again, noone learned a thing from the GFC.

So. A bunch of morons apply for low-doc mortgages with a honey moon period. Banks then on sell the portfolios to superannuation companies with the incentive of massive returns and then when the interest rates reach the end of the honey moon period no one can keep the repayments. This has what to do with a 4 door sedan with a Hemi? The people that need to learn are the banks in america not designers of sweet muscle cars.

Sometimes, Americans celebrate being American in the best way possible. I loved this.

I can’t wait to see the new Charger which comes out at the end of the year. I hope they make it RHD this time so we can get it here. It’s meant to have far better handling, performance, economy with interior set to a new standard.

Unfortunately rumour has it that Sergio is on record as saying the only exporter to remain (in the Short term) will be Jeep…..

      • paul

That was the origal thought but it is not the case. We will still have Dodge and Chrysler here as well. The models coming out here next year will be both new or have a major refresh and will be at a much higher standard than what we have at the moment. While others are writing Chrysler off i am expecting them to bounce back with the products i know that are coming in the next few years.

What a stupid ad. Stupid ad for an ugly car.
