2018 Lexus LS500, VW Buzz concept given EyesOn Design awards in Detroit
The recently-revealed 2018 Lexus LS500 limousine has been given the title of best interior design as part of the EyesOn Design Awards at the 2017 Detroit motor show.
Designed by the Lexus Design Division in Toyota City, Japan, the LS500 is the fifth generation of the luxury marque's flagship sedan and was designed to "exceed expectations" of the company's customers.
"With this LS, our goal was to make the same sort of impact that the original LS made when it debuted in 1989," said Koichi Suga, chief designer for the LS.
"We're very proud that the EyesOn Design judges recognised our efforts and awarded the best interior honor to the LS500."

The LS500 joins other EyesOn Design winners including the Kia Stinger (best production car) the Volkswagen I.D. Buzz concept (best concept 'truck', which highlights the dearth of options at this year's show) and the BMW 5 Series (best-designed user experience).
Each year at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) the EyesOn Design awards honour the best production and concept vehicles making their global debut.
