Hyundai’s new luxury sub-brand, Genesis, has hired former Bugatti designer Alexander Selipanov as its chief designer at the Global Genesis Advanced Studio in Europe.

“I am honored to join this exciting journey, as it is a very rare chance to launch a luxury automotive brand and be part of its history,” said Selipanov.
“With growing expectations and curiosity around Genesis, I cannot wait to contribute my expertise and passion to the brand.”
Selipanov will commence his career with Genesis in January 2017, and will report directly to Luc Donckerwolke, the company’s head of design.
Genesis’s head of design, Luc Donckerwolke, is also a former Bentley designer.
It seems with the recruitment of top names in design that Genesis is taking the styling of its future vehicles very seriously, and if the recent designs from both Bentley and Bugatti are anything to go by, the Korean brand could have some beautiful vehicles in the works.
