How on earth did a Peugeot beat a Skoda?
A Sad Case of Tomas79 wannabe…
I know it’s hard to accept but maybe it’s the better car? Not too many people lining up to buy your skodas today mate?
Tomas, the Octavia and Superb have taken numerous awards over the last three years. Having had a Peugeot I am fully willing to allow them to carry off with the trophy from time to time.
4:20 All Day. Your comment is uninformed and naive, or some would say just ’stupid’.
Too Right, although the original comment wasn’t made by me!!
It’s just a muppet trying to discredit me!!
Tomas – you can’t lose something you haven’t got!
Though someone like me thinks it looks cool,
from the point of view of the rest of the normal people…
Its a bit of an odd looking thing…
I like Peugeots; sure they look a bit weird but that’s what’s so good about them.
Cars are a way of expressing your individuality yet so many cars these days look like other cars whereas this cars is unmistakably a Peugeot.
i quite like it. well done to the pug.
I really like this car but I wish everybody would stop saying it was original. The Qashqai, though an inferior car from what I’ve read, did this segment first.
My only real problem with the 3008 is the rear lights. They look a bit strange and out of place. But other than that it looks good and even Top Gear have praised it’s driving characteristics and they don’t usually like Peugeot’s passenger cars all that much. So job probably well done, I’ll have to try one myself though.
If we want to get technical, the first vehicle marketed as a Crossover was the Lexus RX300. The Holden Adventra was also marketed as a crossover and if we are to include the Adventra, then this means the Volvo XC 70 predates both these vehicles as a crossover.
Not even the Qashqai was original. The Golf Plus came before it and the Scenic kicked off the whole segment 2 generations ago.
Believe it or not, they are different segments. The Golf Plus and the Scenic are mini MPVs. The 3008 and the Qashqai are like a cross between compact SUV, MPV and hatchback. I know it’s terribly confusing, but it’s what the manufacturers are saying.
Niches are going too far I think.
Then there’s the Dualis which Nissan refer to as a Hatchback – now that’s stretching the boundaries way too far
The Dualis is the Qashqai (not sure which name’s worse). Sorry; I should write Australian names on Australian websites.
Yeah, I’m with Tomas.
