Lancia’s next flagship to be based on Chrysler 300C
October 7, 2009 by Matt Brogan
Fiat aims to integrate the Chrysler brand more closely with the Italian automaker’s upscale Lancia marque with the two brands likely to share products ranging from small hatches to large sedans.
The appointment of Lancia CEO Olivier Francois as Chrysler brand boss is a step toward the goal, a Fiat source said.
The unnamed source went on to say that Chrysler and Lancia will share products and distribution in Europe in the near future, including the use of Chrysler’s next-generation 300C as a replacement for Lancia’s Thesis flagship (pictured above) which finished production some months back following a seven-year production run.
Fiat also is looking at other product sharing opportunities for the two brands that include the Chrysler Sebring successor and next-generation Lancia Ypsilon.

That is….horrible!
Its called style and class
Back to your braindead antique Falcodores
I hope they try and give it 300c’ish looks other wise no one in the civilised world will buy one.
Wow I had no idea modern Lancias looked so much like Ssangyongs.
Move over Ssang Yong…….
Should see the back of car…looks like a Rolls Royce Phantom
Say this car nearly 2 years ago in italy. The Italian FBI drive them alot
I also saw this car in Italy back in 2002 when it was released and it actually looks good in the flesh. The interior is way ahead of it’s time compared to anything else in it’s class for the price. Alcantara trim, magnesium swithes, skyhook suspension, Solar panels in the sunroof etc….it’s along list.
Lancias actually outsell Alfa’s in Italy and continue to grow in demand across Europe.
The Italian magistrates & bodyguards including political figures get driven in these complete with bullet proof glass etc.
Wow – that’s a really appalling vehicle. I guess it goes to show that not everything from Europe is to die for (except Lada vehicles of course!! – NOT!)
The little fella looks likes a Fiat 500, but ugly!
i can’t stop thinking about the toyota ft 86
Maybe a V8 Lancia, history repeats!
i own a 2003 2.4 diesel Lancia Thesis and i think it’s very sexy.
Superb and classy vehicle, so many firsts from Lancia
Hope they give Lancia the attention it deserves
