Video: HSV E Series 2 teaser with Garth Tander

Current V8 Supercar driver and Holden Special Vehicles ambassador Garth Tander takes us behind the doors of HSV’s E2 area at the Clayton facility.

Let’s just hope the poor production quality is an indication that every dime has been put into the development of the new generation HSV models.

If you manage to hold back the gag reflex, watch the video again. You can actually have a good laugh, as I have done. I think Garth would have had fun filming this, and that is all it is: a bit of fun. I seriously doubt HSV thinks this is high quality stuff either! Criticise the ad all you want, but don’t compare it to FPV ads. When have FPV ads ever been memorable? I for one certainly don’t remember the ad for the FG range of FPV’s, good or bad.

I agree Baddass, as bad as this is its somewhat memorable. The last FPV Ad I remember is those CGI ones for the FG, but can’t say I remember anything since, have they had any?

But Holdens Ad dept has always been better than Fords, lets not forget walking fingers and the all powerful XR6T towing a jetski.

Given that the previous ‘teaser’ video was quite a high quality production, i’m putting this one down to them trying to have a laugh.

A fail either way but lets not take this one too seriously.. Man i cant wait for this car to be released!!! Whatever they are doing, if the car is crap or not, they sure are doing a good job at keeping people interested…

What can I say? Cheap and nasty production values – just like their cars. An absolute embarassment for HSV. If anyone has any doubt as to which sector of the population worship HSVs that teaser should help immensely.

And they think they can be compared to BMW M Division. Pathetic.

Did I hear him right when he said a few seconds a lap faster then the current HSV’s? Thatd be good to see, if its true or not is another thing. And when will the two or 5 kw difference be blown out of the water between FPV n HSV? Guess we will find out July next year when FPVs new range will go up against these new HSV’s. FPVs new smaller all alloy V8 against HSVs iconic V8, I hope FPV finally do them in, but itl be hard to tell. Fpvs boss has been heard saying hes over the same sort of power figures with hsv, really want to take there new range to a new level, with HSV in the sights. Gotta love the FPV/Ford vs HSV/Holden rivalry. Go the fords tho!!!!

HSV have a count down for their uncovering of the HSV series two, the date shown is 09 09 09 if this is true the Standard Holden 10 series may already be on the road by then!
Caprice second hand available for sale has dropped by about 35 percent over the last two months due to shortage of stock and the price is back up about 10 percent.
GMH Australia do make great release TV adds, I hope they do something for the series 10 release even if it is just to detail the new V6 engine.

Its most likely to get everyone talking about it, “hey have you seen that terrible teaser HSV have just done?” Some people wouldn’t even know a new line of HSV are coming. And no, I am not from the red side, I am all blue.
