Ferrari announces free roadside assistance

July 23, 2009 by George Skentzos

Supercars by their very nature can be quite volatile machines and not even a Ferrari badge can hide the shame of being stopped at the side of the road with the bonnet open when trouble strikes.

Ferrari announces free roadside assistance

Now when the ‘CEO’ or even ‘President’ title applies to so many of your customers, a certain duty of care is to be expected which is why Ferrari has introduced the new “With You” service.

Under the new scheme, Ferrari clients will not only receive 12 months of roadside assistance if their vehicle breaks down, but are also covered for expenses involved in returning home or reaching a Ferrari service centre.

The scheme also extends to covering the cost of any potential hotel expenses if the worse should happen far from home.

This service applies to all owners of cars built since 1947 and not covered by either existing factory or POWER warranties – a comforting thought when classic Ferrari’s can often fetch far more than their newest siblings.

The service is currently available only for Italian clients but will also be extended to other European markets in the near future and could also eventually include Australia.

    *****PRIMO!*****

A claytons offer, most Ferrari’s are garage-queens, no need for assistance when it never moves out of your garage,,,,,,,,

Thats very unique that they will cover the older existing models.

Road side assist is only about 60 bucks a year, and the premium one that covers accommodation and other expenses is only around 100 bucks.

Its not really that big of an outlay for manufacturers.
I wonder how many Ferraris there are still registered on the road????

Come on CA, surely you can pull that stat from somewhere

  4. AAA says:

Just wondering… how’s the reliability of Ferrari cars? Better than FIAT cars?

  5. Baz says:

What’s so special about this when almost every other car maker does it as well when you buy a new car? Oh wow, its a Ferrari, and LOOK its got free roadside! Woohoo!

  6. Acfsambo says:

Baz, its not that it has free roadside assistance, it is that old models (anything ater 1947) also get the free roadside assistance). Lets see toyota/bmw/merc/gm/ford do that.
