Renault ZE Concept makes Goodwood appearance
July 7, 2009 by Matt Brogan
Feeling a little out of place to most of the 135,000 strong crowd at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed was the surprise appearance of Renault’s ZE (Zero Emissions) Concept Vehicle.
The futuristic electric car, which we remember from the Paris Motor Show some months back, joined two other ultra-rare Renaults a Ondelios and a 1959 electric Dauphine from the brand’s Paris museum.
Not content to sit idle as a display the Kanogoo based ZE Concept took to the hill climb route, much to the delight of on-lookers, providing rather confident over the un-timed run.
As the only one of its kind, and worth around £2 million, the hand-built concept car navigated its way serenely around the route, providing a remarkable contrast to the vintage road and race cars around it.
At one point on the route, close to Goodwood House, the outlandish ZE Concept, replete with its Acid Green windows and roof-mounted solar panels, joined a Jaguar XJ13 and Aston Martin DBR1 for arguably one of the most surreal car parade sights ever seen at the Goodwood Festival.

*****PRIMO!*****
Not sure about this car being anything but a prototype, but find the window tint colour very interesting!Maybe like shooting-glasses *could* improve your vision and make things seem sharper!
What about some photo from the said event of legend cars?
