How To Make a Bugatti Veyron W16 Engine

By Alborz Fallah |

The world’s most powerful car, the Bugatti Veyron, is powered by two V8 engines joined together to form a W16 formation, of course four turbo-chargers and ten radiators also come along for the ride. But just how exactly do they make such an engine?

The video above shows a “Matsuura MAM72-42V 5 axis CNC” machine carving up the W16 engine block mm by mm.

If you watch it all the way through, you will see the cylinders appearing while the whole thing eventually resembles the W16 engine we’ve all come to love and respect.

of coarse u can put this engine in ur car if u hav at least half a million dollars to spend…
since the engine itself im thinking would
cost somewhere around 3 or 400k and modifications another 100k.. plus
the transmission driveterrain.. all that good stuff..
    good luck with that

Who ever posted this up is a fool. That video is a demo. The lump of aluminium is not much bigger than the palm of your hand lol

Also. The w16 is NOT two v8 engines bolted together – common misconception. Its a v configuration with two rows of pistons in each bank.

Also….as with all engine crankcases, it is cast and not machined from a big lump of material lol

Actualy soaps the bugatti veyron motor is milled out of one solid chunk of alloy it is a billet block and stronger than cast
