Hyundai iLoad advertisment – brilliant

May 11, 2009 by Paul Maric

We’ve tested Hyundai’s iLoad, along with iMax and couldn’t speak any more highly of the brand’s new venture.

That is until we saw the advertisment for the iLoad. I think the advertisment speaks for itself!

You guys are very easily impressed, I must say…

    I’m with JML.

  3. Grammar Nazi says:

That one won’t trouble the award shows…sorry guys.

  4. RoFlmaTiC says:

The video is a year old!

  5. Andrew M says:

    Im with JML.

When i clicked on the article i was keen to see the new iload add for some brilliance.
all i got was that daggy old advert i have seen before.

    nothing really impressive.

Ive seen better ads not get a mention

Even the Territory eating sports cars for breakfast is miles better than this one.

And if you want blokey construction mentality, the falcon ute ad is even better.

One of the best series would have to be the Toyota “Bugger” series.

Holdens “thunderstruck” was also miles better.

This is still nowhere near as “tough making” as the F-Truck ads in the US either

  6. crouchy says:

I always like the previous gen Honda accord ad. I heard that it cost an absolute fortune! It was quite impressive really…

    This, not so much.

  7. Austin says:

At this point they both get crushed by a big bucket…”If you want a real piece of mobile plant, buy a bucyrus rope shovel not a toy hyundai!”

  8. Tom says:

Why is an advert for a boring van front page news?

If i wanted a good advertisement im pretty sure the Holden Ute add or the Shell F1 ferrari evolution add would be above this garbage.

  9. Frenchie says:

I kinda like the excavator better!

  10. Aki says:

    Ummm..

The first post said it best…

  11. Hek says:

Just gave it 2 star rating in You-tube…

  12. David says:

It would have been better if the van got crushed too!!!

  13. smokin'R32 says:

    meh

  14. SteveH says:

Must be a slow news day

  15. Cupid Stunt says:

Was expecting more like squash the little car and tuck it into the reaqr of the van.

What no news today. I here Farrari messed up another grand Prix yesterday.

  16. Elitist says:

For starters Koreans arent known for car quality, secondly why do they always think Aussies want the “built tough mate, drunk at a put she’ll be right” campaigns?

Why can’t Aussies go through a change where they show us as intelligent, proud of design and quality through engineering?

Get rid of this red neck attitude, represents not even a third of the population.

  17. EverCab says:

    Not the best

  18. B-Man says:

    Pretty lame guys…

  19. Milsie says:

Caradvice readers clearly need to get over their prejudice views of Hyundai.
Most of the losers who post derogatory comments about Hyundai clearly haven’t stepped foot inside a Hyundai showroom recently, let alone sat behind the wheel of one…
Anyway, if the worst Hyundai has done is sell thousands of budget priced Excel’s 15 years ago – what’s so bad about that?
I still see quite a lot of them on the roads today, 15 years later. Amazing they still run, seeing as though they are “unreliable pieces of crap.” Wish I could say the same for 15 year old smoke blowing Japanese or European cars…

  20. VW Freak says:

Boring, boring, boring. And that refers to both the ad and the vehicle.

  21. Lukaas says:

    Milsie..
putting down Japanese and European “old” cars to help defend a Korean made car is irony.

Hyundai has improved but not equal or surpass that of the other countries.

Hyundai make bargain vehicles period… you get what you pay for. It has a market out there and thats that.

  22. Interceptor says:

Jeez, talk about crushing the competition!….

    right..

    -I

  23. ChineseDriver says:

It appears hyundai has a very good relationship with CA.

23 test drives of Hyundai cars in total, and just the i30 has been tested for 7 times.

Is this car advice or car advertise? =/

  24. Baz says:

Dunno if this has been raised before, but, does CarAdvice get $$$ from the Hyundai group or something? CarAdvice never seems to be short of good publicity for Hyundais and Kias – take for example, this year old advertisement for a car 1% of the CarAdvice visitors would be interested in. Lets also not forget the advertisement-dressed-as-a-review when the new Cerato first got released – it was a practically a promotional press release. By the way, these are not the only examples that come to mind…

So CarAdvice, care to come clean? Or will you be censoring my post?

  25. SteveC says:

Considering Hyundai also make military tanks, I always thought they should take the Mr. T Snickers advert idea and put their cars in it.

  26. FrugalOne says:

C/A got slammed with most of the comments here.

Instead of Hyundai making this stupid commercial [and pissing of Volvo and Peugeot] why not make a advert. ABOUT THE VAN?

You know show inside, talk about it, what models, the fact that F-0 found lots of issues with it, etc etc

Wasted of a TV advert. space really

    Cheers

    F-0

  27. otto au says:

No van, but a bloody BIG excavator.

Bet you never saw that coming!
