CarAdvice raises $1286 for Victorian Bushfire Appeal 2009

By Paul Maric |

You were all probably getting sick of the reminders we continuously posted about the three charity auctions we ran to raise well needed money for the Victorian Bushfire Appeal 2009.

All the hard work has paid off, with the final earning figure sitting at just over $1286.

The winner of each auction was offered a return trip from home to join us for lunch at Healesville’s Giant Steps winery and restaurant. The winners of our HSV and FPV auctions both attended the lunch, while the winner of the third auction – a Brisbane resident – celebrated from home.

The drive route, which passed through some of the fire ravaged areas, was a solemn reminder of how lucky the survivors really were.

The winners of our three auctions, in no particular order are:

Signed HSV jacket: Michael Rasmussen
Miscellaneous merchandise: Keith Holtham
Signed FPV jacket: Chris Clewer
