2009 Land Rover Discovery facelift spied
February 15, 2009 by George Skentzos
Somewhere in freezing Sweden the new face lifted Land Rover Discovery has been spied cold weather testing in preparation for its arrival in showrooms later this year.
The spy shots reveal the new grille with modified bars and a completely new front skirt and bumper, while the headlight redesign is similar to that of the new Range Rover face lift.
At the rear, the blackened tail lights reveal further modifications, as well as the inclusion of new LED technology in their design.
Together with the current range of engines on offer, Land Rover’s new 5.0-litre V8 powerplant is also expected to be shoe-horned into the face lifted model.

LED’s lights and a new bumper – WOW. How about the new 3.0litre Diesel donk that’s in the XF- that would be a noteable change.
Um, Car Advice, I don’t think this is the 2009 facelift as the 2009 facelift went on sale a few months ago and they are now on the road. Maybe 2011, 2012?
Cupid, the Range Rover Vogue and Sport are getting a 5.0 V8 diesel soon and I think I’ve heard that the Discovery is in line to get it as well.
when will the discovery III be on sale with the new electric rear axe? That should be going asap!
