February 5, 2009 by George Skentzos

Car makers seem to have made an annual pilgrimage to the winter testing zone in northern Scandinavia, this time with the face lifted Range Rover Sport caught on camera.

This model represents a mid-cycle refresh before an all-new Range Rover makes its debut for the 2013 model year.

For 2009, the new Range Rover Sport is expected to feature new headlamps, a modified grill and updated tail lights – merely subtle changes to tune the design.

Previous reports suggest a new 5.0-litre V8 diesel engine would be added to the range to replace the current V6 unit.

Fraid to say I’ve never been a fan of the Range Rover and having ridden in the bosses 4.2TDV8 can’t say I was impressed with the design of the interior.

How about everyone gets their facts straight before they write articles or posts?

The TDV8 is a 3.6 litre engine and there is no talk of it being altered. There is talk the 2.7TDV6 may get increased to 3 litres and the 4.4 petrol V8 and 4.2supercharged petrol engines may get increased to 5 Litres.

Generally an informative site but sometime i wonder if you do enough research?

RRS it appears you are the only one who really cares. Landrover are nothing special, just an over priced tank that people buy only because they believe it gives them some sort of higher status. I was stupid enough to invest into a TD4 Freelander. It spent more time in the work shop than on the road. Selling it was like trying to give away leprosy. In the end a bloke bought it off e bay before he moved to Australia from Dubai.

Funny how you refer to yourself as “the salesman” and clearly bought a Freelander1 TD4, that’s a bit like calling yourself “the stock broker” and investing in Babcock & Brown shares! Land Rover sale grew by over 16% in Australia last year, one of very few manufacturers that can report that. Clearly you make you purchasing decisions without research but it is unfair to assume that the general public are that stupid. The Land Rover product has drastically improved and sales reflect this.
